Scope

I had the pleasure of doing the design for the major traveling exhibition, An-My Lê: On Contested Terrain, in the Baker/Rowland Gallery at the Milwaukee Art Museum.

“An-My Lê: On Contested Terrain is the first comprehensive survey of the work of celebrated photographer An-My Lê (American, b. Vietnam, 1960). The nationally touring exhibition features large-format black-and-white and color photographs from across Lê’s career, which she has dedicated to exploring the complexity that envelops war.”

Working with the Museum’s exhibition designer, David Russick, it was immediately apparent that a minimalism on a maximalist scale approach would be appropriate in framing Lê’s expansive and provocative photography.

Along with the exhibition graphics, I did layouts for all digital and print advertising for the exhibition.
